Traeger Smoked Turkey Breast Recipe

Ingredients for the Traeger smoked turkey breast recipe;
- 8 to 10 pounds Of Turkey breast
- 1 cup kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon each of onion powder, garlic salt, and black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- Traeger poultry rub
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 8 fresh sage leaves
- ½ cup turkey golden syrup
- Ice and then,
- 7.5 liters of water
Steps to follow
- In a large saucepan, combine the water with salt, brown sugar, turkey golden syrup, onion powder, garlic salt, black pepper, and sage leaves. Simmer over medium heat, and stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar and the salt. Then take off the saucepan from the heat, then add ice. Stir until the ice melts then let the solution/ brine cool completely.
- Put the turkey breast in the brine/ solution encumber with a number of plates to guarantee it is properly immersed. Cover with a tight lid or plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours so that the turkey acquires flavors.
- Set the Traeger temperature to at least 375 degrees Fahrenheit and preheat while the lid is tightly closed for roughly 15 minutes.

- Take off the turkey breast from the grill and let it rest for at least 15 minutes. Slice proportionally and serve.
