- 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- ½ cup fresh lime juice or lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1½ teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon each of dried thyme and oregano
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper and ½ teaspoon of basil
- Chilli flakes (optional)
Steps To Follow For Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast or thighs
- Firstly, in a small bowl or container whisk together the virgin olive oil, garlic, lime juice, thyme, oregano, basil, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Pour the ingredients all over the chicken thighs.
- Secondly, place the marinated chicken thighs in a zipper bag and seal properly. Put the chicken in the refrigerator and allow it to marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight so that the flavors enter the chicken very well.
- Thirdly, preheat your grill for 15 minutes on medium heat. Cook or grill the chicken thighs for 13 minutes on each side.
- In the last 8 minutes of grilling, turn the heat to medium-high and permit the thighs to sear a little, make sure the thighs are well cooked and crispy. The ideal internal temperature of ready chicken thighs should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit or 74 degrees celsius.
- At this moment in time, remove the chicken thighs from the grill and allow them to rest for roughly 5 minutes.
- Lastly, put the chicken on a clean plate and garnish it as desired.
