This is indeed the best grilled turkey burgers recipe. It is high time we leave the terrible turkey burgers, this is the most authentic burger recipe that outstands all the others out there.
These turkey burgers are super juicy, delicious, and authentic. But remember that you do not need lots of ingredients as we are going to see.
This turkey burger recipe has been tried and tested continuously to ensure its awesomeness.
Ingredients For The Best Grilled Turkey Burgers.
- ½ cup finely shredded carrot
- ¼ cup thinly sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ¼ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, powdered
- ¼ teaspoon garlic salt and ¼ spoon black pepper
- 350 grams of uncooked ground turkey or chicken breast
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 4 whole-wheat hamburger buns, split and toasted
- 1 leaf lettuce leaves and then,
- 1 Sliced tomato
Steps To Follow.
First of all, stir the carrots, green onions, bread crumbs, milk, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Add ground turkey; mix well. Shape the turkey mixture into four-inch large patties.
Then place the patties on the oiled/ greasy rack of an open grill directly over medium heat. Grill patties for at least 11 to 13 minutes or until the patties are done (165 degrees Fahrenheit), turning once halfway through grilling time. To grill, place the patties on the chilly greased rack of a grill pan. Grill patties 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 12 to 14 minutes flipping once halfway through the grilling time.
Meanwhile, stir together mustard and pepper in a small bowl. Spread buns with the mustard mixture then insert burger patties (the patties should be in the middle with one bun up and the other at the very bottom)and add onions, tomatoes, pickles, iceberg lettuce if desired.
In a nutshell, the internal color of a burger is not a dependable doneness signal. A turkey or chicken patty cooked to 165 degrees Fahrenheit is safe, despite the color. But if you want to tell the doneness of a patty, pierce a meat thermometer through the side of the patty to a distance of 2 to 3 inches.
